It has been quite a time of adventure since our last post! We packed up a few things and headed to a resort just before Canmore, AB for a few days. That became our homebase while we went to the Stampede, etc.It was a great drive to the mountains, seeing many wonderful views of the mountains. Elk (the "unicorn" of Banff) was among our wildlife sightings.
The Stampede was lots of fun! The first day we went, we saw the stock dogs competition, team penning, chuck wagon races and the grandstand show. All the events we saw were awesome. The grandstand show was even better than two years ago when we went to the Stampede, with the death-defying motorcross riders and many aerial acts! One of my favourites was the suspended drummers!
